It's just dangerous. After I used this product, I will never buy Black & Decker products. It was $9.00 there because they wanted to get rid of all of their products. Even after it finished dripping, if you remove a jar from it, some coffee drops on the heating plate, which damages the surface of the heating plate.
Coffee) was broken. I bought this more than one years ago at a closing sales of a grocery store. The mechanism of dripping is pretty simple, there is just one hole without any stopping feature. Actually, the lid doesn't have any function, and I threw it away. I like my Black & Decker drill.
This means that you can't drink coffee until it finish dripping completely. I had several coffee makers, but this is the worst one. Well, I bought it because it was from a good brand, and because my former coffee maker (Mr. The plastic material of this coffee maker is not rigid. But it seems like Black & Deker's kitchen products are not good.
This coffee maker doesn't have a turn-off timer. The hinge of the lid of the jar is easy to get deformation. I learned I shouldn't buy cheap and bad things.
Very easy to pour.no sloshes. Reliable brewer makes good coffee, dependably. An auto-off feature would have been nice. The sneak-a-cup feature is OK if you don't mind very strong coffee. This is a bare-bones model with minimal features, but I would buy it again.
When you want a good cup of coffee, look no further. I have had all the expensive ones, but this is simple, DRIP FREE, and makes the BEST cup of coffee no matter what brand of coffee I have used.
I bought this to replace the same model which died after around 5 years of use. The feature I like is the fact that the hot water syphon hinges out the way with the lid. I give it 4 stars because I think it should have lasted longer given that it was not used every day. I chose this because I thought if the carafe broke I would have a spare seeing as they cost almost as much as a new machine. Also the lid stays up on it's own which is helpful. The carafe handle seems quite sturdy.
We have owned this machine for less than two years. It simply quit working one morning. The switch is flimsy, but I don't believe the switch malfunctioned. I believe heating element stopped working.
